Door Stop Does It All

Door Stop opens the door to success because of how thorough we are. We don’t just provide doors – we do everything related to doors. We can help to manage your affairs no matter who you are. The following demonstrates how we work with different parties to achieve the results that they need.

General Contractors: We work with general contractors to make sure that your doors are delivered on time at exactly the right place. For commercial wood doors or hollow metal doors, we can construct a door to your exact specifications, and we never use ripped, or cut-down from standard size, doors. We can even get you the door you need within 24 hours. That’s speedy.

Architects: We work with you to plan your exact specifications. As experts, we consider ourselves a valuable resource in helping you to achieve what you desire, and we can even offer further ideas about how to implement your door needs.

Architectural Millworkers: Sometimes it can be difficult for architects and contractors to meet on common ground. We enter the picture here to help meet creative specifications with real-world practicality of your door choices.

Government Agencies: Our work is so clean cut and transparent that it meets the standards of the government in completing paperwork, documentation and certification. Our products are environmentally sustainable so that we can pave the way in bidding governmental jobs.

Commerical Woods Doors Aren't a Dime a Dozen

Doors are ubiquitous in commercial and residential settings.

We’re so used to seeing them, that we don’t realize just how many varieties and styles are out there. The average consumer is unaware of the intricacies that distinguish commercial wood doors from others. So it’s pretty common for people who are remodeling to take the door selection process lightly by assuming that they’re all the same.

In residential settings you have a little more leeway with choosing a door, but in commercial settings it’s a little more important that you’re choosing the right door for your business environment.

Choosing and installing commercial wood doors that don’t work for your business, could mean delays in productivity that cost you time and money. If concerned with choosing the right commercial wood door and having it installed properly, it’s imperative that you consult Door Stop NY’s professional and knowledgeable staff.

Door Stop NY has the skills and industry know-how to provide you with complete commercial wood door solutions. Whether it’s deciding on hinges, veneers, the right core, or the perfect handles, DoorStop’s architects are dedicated to taking your concepts and concerns, and turning them into workable solutions that are cohesive to your business’s environment. We can even work with your general contractor to ensure that every area is taken care of and your commercial wood doors are exactly what you wanted.

Let us LEED You To Success!

LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design has been around for 12 years, and is an internationally recognized standard that establishes green strategies for energy savings, water efficiency, carbon dioxide emissions reduction, and improved indoor environmental quality.

LEED certification is based on 100 points with only forty needed to become certified. These points are awarded according to sustainability (26), water efficiency (10), energy and atmosphere, (35) materials and resources, (14) indoor environmental quality, (15) innovation in design (6) and regional priority (4). So it isn’t that difficult to get in the LEED, but it may be hard to be gold or platinum certified, because you need upwards of sixty points.

LEED lasts throughout the entirety of a building’s existence – from design and construction, to maintenance and redevelopment. It isn’t only for commercial services, either. LEED can be applied to residential structures and schools. And it doesn’t have to be applied to the whole building; LEED can certify a four floor area.

So if you want the transparency involved in determining the construction of a project, we offer doors compatible with LEED standards, without minerals and particles, with AgriFibers and renewable materials. Drop by www.DoorStopNY.com today to get in the LEED!

Welcome to The Door Stop Blog!

First of all , it’s our blog, so let’s talk about us for a sec...

We are a third generation door company that provides customizable doors for your business needs. We want your company to feel safe and comfortable while working with us, and when you do, you will be satisfied enough to return to our products in the future.

Throughout the tri-state area, we have been expanding, and most recently we have opened a new office in Carlstadt, New Jersey. Today, we’re leading the way in Green door technology. We want you to see for yourself just how Door Stop is making a difference. We comply with LEED standards, which are set by the government agency the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in order to improve energy savings, water efficiency, carbon dioxide emissions, and overall door quality.

We want to thank you for working with us, and if you’re not yet, join us to realize your custom constructed door dreams! Keep checking in on our blog for useful tips and ideas about what kind of doors are right for you. “Right Door. Right Here Right Now.”
